Patient Participation Group (PPG)

Are you aware that you can have a say in what goes on at your GP practice and Primary Care Network (PCN) and engage in activities that help others?

Members of the Patient Participation Group (PPG) are patients registered at the practice who collaborate with their GP and PCN to ensure that the patient’s perspective is represented. They utilise their collective skills, knowledge, and experiences to create projects and initiatives that benefit both the practice and the broader patient community.

PPGs function in various formats; some meet face-to-face, while others maintain communication online, or a mix of both – all are enthusiastic about welcoming new participants.

As a PPG member, you’ll often receive updates from your practice or PCN and may be asked to share your feedback regarding healthcare experiences in your area. There are many opportunities for PPG involvement, including attending regular webinars, participating in PCN meetings, and joining county-wide networking events for PPG members.

If you’d like to learn more about the PPG activities at your practice, please visit their website or contact us.
